Join the party in Naxos & Milos! | June 21-29, 2025
Greece
ευτυχία (ef-tee-hee-a) is Greek for “happiness”
Mama Mia, let's goooo - to the islands of Naxos & Milos to bask in the Grecian sunshine!
I have spent a LOT of time in Greece. I even moved here in January and I live in Athens full time now. A big part of my life lately has been getting to know locals & their stories. Please know that much care and effort has gone into curating this itinerary so that you not only have a solid vacation, but also plenty of opportunities to learn about the culture of Greece and her people in a way that feels authentic and fun.
This year, I'm taking you to Naxos, my favorite island in the Aegean. Packed with history & culture, this island is great for travelers seeking an authentic experience without the hoards of tourists ruining everything. The itinerary boasts a nice combination of local activities mixed with leisure time so that you leave feeling like you got to know a thing of two about Greece and her beautiful culture. In Milos, we'll be exploring the epic coastline of the island (and smaller surrounding ones) on a private sailboat with swim stops that will blow your mind. This is a trip for everyone!
About the Islands
I’ve chosen two of my favorite islands in all of the Aegean - Naxos, the biggest Cycladic island and thus boasting unlimited opportunities for play and Milos, known for her majestic coastline, white cliffs and crystal blue waters. In Naxos, we’ll spend three nights in boutique hotel accommodations in Chora aka Naxos Town. The hotel is owned by family friends of mine and offers the simplicity of Mediterranean design, all the comforts of home, and an insanely great location to the old town and the port. For the second half of our time in Naxos, we’ll move to private villas on the beach. With only a 5 minute walk to the stunning Plaka Beach or a dip in the private swimming pool in the back garden of the villa, you can fully dip into vacation mode. During our time in Naxos we’ll be learning the art of Greek cooking, throwing plates, dancing to Bouzouki music, become Greek wine connoisseurs and of course - a day on a private sailboat.
Just an afternoon ferry ride away is Milos, an island known for its magnificent landscape and paradisiacal beaches. Also steeped in rich history, Milos is an island that simply cannot be missed when visiting Greece. Our hotel owner Panos will greet us with a delicious buffet dinner with homemade wine upon arrival and we’ll spend a full day on a private sailboat cruising around Milos and her sister islands, exploring the coastline with epic swim spots and unforgettable cave swimming. This is the highlight of the trip!
Daily Movement & Meditation
Wake up the right way - with some energizing vinyasa yoga. Jade will lead you through a strong practice designed to challenge your body & mind and set the tone for an awesome day. Look forward to standing sequences, opportunities to develop deeper backbends and stronger inversions, as well as plenty of groovy transitions to stretch and open parts of the body that need that extra love. Wanna sleep in instead? No shame - you do you!

Getting there & other details
Book your international round trip flight to and from Athens. Then, you’ll need to book some one-way flights or ferries: one from Athens to Naxos, arriving anytime on June 21 and your departure flight or ferry back to Athens at the end of the trip. Tickets vary from $60-$120 and can be purchased via Sky Express or Aegean Air. Ferry tickets can be booked using the app Ferry Hopper. If you are doing the whole 9 day experience on both islands, your ferry ticket from Naxos to Milos on June 27th is included in your trip price and I’ll have those tickets purchased in advance.
Let’s face it - Greece is too awesome to see in one trip. So, if you have a few extra days to play around with, spend some time in Athens exploring the history of this amazing country!
I have created a “24 hours or 48 hours in Athens” PDF itinerary, including recommendations on where to stay, where to eat, drink, tour & shop. Email me to receive it!
Greece Q&A
Is this a "yoga retreat"?
It is if you want it to be. I'm a yoga teacher, and I'll offer daily classes during the week, all of which are absolutely optional. My classes are designed to accommodate all levels of yoga practice, so whether you're brand new to yoga, "yoga-curious", or a daily practitioner, you'll be able to attend and hopefully enjoy class. If you do plan to do any yoga on the trip, you will need to bring your own yoga mat.
What are the accommodations like?
Hotel Krina Mare, owned by friends of mine, is a lovely boutique hotel designed - in the style of “minimal Mediterranean”. The rooms have an airy island feel with cozy beds, comfortable seating, private balconies and bathrooms. The rooftop boasts a lovely view of Naxos Town and the Aegean sea! Our beach accommodations in Naxos are owned by the same family - two private villas only minutes from the beach. Each villa has four private rooms with bathrooms, balconies, and private swimming pools & bbq areas. In Milos, another boutique hotel awaits. Ippocampos, meaning “seahorse” is a lovely hilltop accommodation just minutes from the port of Milos. Privately owned and operated by my friend Panos, we’ll be sure to feel at home in such a special part of the country. Private rooms will have queen or king size beds & private bathrooms, and sometimes private balconies when available. Shared rooms can be one or two beds, depending on preference, and a private bathroom for two to share. In the villas, the kitchen and living areas will be shared by all. Wifi is available at all locations.
Do I need to attend all of the included group activities?
Not at all! I have curated a trip that has a nice balance of free time and group activities. As your travel leader, I've also done a fair amount of working to scope out the area and find experiences that are both culturally connected and fun. If for any reason you decide that you'd like to opt out of a group activity, you are absolutely welcome to take some "me time".
What does a typical day look like on the trip?
If there's yoga, it'll be from 9-10am. Breakfast starts at 10am. You’ll receive both a printed and PDF version of the trip itinerary before the trip starts, so you can know in advance what each day entails. Some of the meals are included due to activities, and the first and last dinners are always included. On nights when dinner isn’t included, I’ll have a restaurant recommendation & reservation for anyone who wants to attend. During free time, you should feel free to do what you want - it’s your vacation!
What is the food like?
Breakfasts are usually a combination of fresh yogurt, fruit, honey and granola. In addition, you can find a variety of pastries - sweet and savory - deli meats & cheeses, and some kinds of egg option. Tea, coffee & orange juice are available every morning. For other meals, expect a Mediterranean diet with an emphasis on traditional Greek food. Think: olives, pita bread, special dips & spreads like tzatziki & eggplant dip, olive oil & a variety of shared meat & veggie dishes composed of ingredients local to the region. Save room for dessert - Greek baklava is the best in the world!
Will there be alcohol?
Wine is available at no extra cost during our wine tasting & cooking class, and both boat experiences have an open bar (beer & wine). You are free to drink when you want. Alcoholic beverages are not included in any of the restaurant meals, but you are free to order what you want and pay a la carte!
Is the water safe to drink?
In Athens, yes. On the islands, its best to drink bottled water.
Will there be wifi?
Yes, wifi is available at all accommodations.
Are there any rules?
There is only one rule: have a great vacation. Take rest & "alone time" when you need it. Enjoy getting to know some new & interesting people. Enjoy yourself!
